Ciao!
Dunque: ho aggiornato gnome alla 2.6, faccio etc-update (salvando tutto ciò che ritengo necessario) riavvio X e ...
sono sparite le voci alternative a gnome nel menu di scelta del login manager (nella fattispecie è sparita xfce4).
Come faccio a rimettere a porto/riaggiungere le voci mancanti? Dove sono i files di configurazione che si sono sballati?
Ho una certa urgenza di rimettere a posto perché ho effettuato lo stesso gggiornamento anche su un'altro pc ed entrambi vengono usati da diversi utenti (che sono inesperti e non vorrei sottoporre alla seccatura di fare login "a mano").
Altra questioncella: quale altro login manager grafico posso installare in alternativa a GDM -a patto che consenta l'autologin e sia indipendente sia da KDE che da Gnome?

Ciao,
con il nuovo gdm cambia il path in cui sono impostate le sessioni.
Ora devi creare un file *.desktop in /usr/share/xsessions/ che abbia la seguente sintassi:

Ovviamente devi sostituire i comandi [esempio: startkde] per lanciare il tuo wm [mi auguro che sia il termine giusto ].
