|
|
I moved to kernel 2.6.... i am using a PCI IDE controller for my two 80gb HDD (it is an Ultra5).
Problem: kernel 2.4 on both INTEL and SPARC says that the on-board IDE controller is "host0" and the PCI controller is "host1".
Instead, for kernel 2.6 on SPARC the on-board contrroller is "HOST1" and the pci becames "HOST0" !!!! on INTEL it has the same behavious as 2.4.
This completely screws up all my scripts on sparc! (silo.conf, fstab mainly)
So, i cannot keep 2.4 and 2.6 ready to boot on sparc...
is there a solution??

Try the kernel command line parameter _________________ Military Commissions Act of 2006: http://tinyurl.com/jrcto

Is there a site somewhere where one can find out all of the parameters one can pass the kernel?
I see many wonderful posts saying how to fix things and always find myself wondering how it was found out in the first place.. |
