|
|
Hi,
I finally managed to install Gentoo 1.4 RC1, but now I can't get "emerge kde" to work.
Error message:
Quote: | configure: error: Cannot find CUPS libraries (libcups)" |
I tried "emerge cups", but I get the same error. I did not specify the "cups" USE flag during the installation, nor "-cups". I just modified my make.conf (added "cups") and tried emerging cups again, doesn't work. "emerge libcups" doesn't work either since there apparently is no libcups.
I'm new to Gentoo and I never used cups. I'm very grateful for any suggestions. |

Have had the same problem. I manually emerge ghostscript (and the dependancies) and then manually emerged cups. It's working now. |
