Hi. To make a long story short, i've been trying to get an elite3d card to work on an ultra 10 with 2.6. I ended up dumping 2.4.25 back on it, and it boots fine, no problems. I was using 2.6 and for some reason when it boots up, it wont display anything on the screen, it'll show the 'booting linux...' deal and just sit. I think the box boots up cause i can hear the drive going for a bit, havent tried getting into it. Are there any tricks to getting it going? I tried different resolutions for the console and even disabled the 'fb console' deal, going to the defaults. Still no go.

I'm using kernel 2.6.5 with an elite 3d. Works just fine with both xfree and xorg. Did you choose the right kernel options?

Here's selections from my .config:

# Graphics support
#
CONFIG_FB=y
CONFIG_FB_SBUS=y
CONFIG_FB_FFB=y

#
# Console display driver support
#
CONFIG_DUMMY_CONSOLE=y
CONFIG_FRAMEBUFFER_CONSOLE=y
CONFIG_PCI_CONSOLE=y
CONFIG_FONTS=y
CONFIG_FONT_SUN8x16=y

Hope that helps!

Abe
