My mouse not working

my 2 button wheel mouse(usb) does not work when i boot up. howdo i get it to work can i open some thing in nano. I used The GUI installer because i'm a noob. I have done all the instructions BTW i had some trouble setting up my network and in the fstab with nano setting up my ntfs partitions and dvd rom and floppie drive any help wil lbe a apreicciated.

I'm really bad at spelliing.

Have you run xf86config? It asks mouse settings and other important things that are needed to run Xfree.
