Cool. What did you use for your compile flags?
Most of the speedup of ccc vs gcc comes from the Compaq cpml math library.

I compiled clients for ev5,ev6 and ev67 so the flags depend on the arch.
My clients take heavy use of fftw3 libs (fftw.org) compiled with ccc ( linked against cpml).
used flags are: -fast -O5 -fp_reorder -ifo -inline speed - tune arch -host arch -ansi_alias -tweak -lcpml |
Nice one! This could be the motivation I need to get stuck into my hardware problem again. I take it this is the boinc client and not the setiathome classic, as that is about to be put off-line.

This should probably be a new thread, but I'm posting here in the hope some of you guys are still subscribed to this thread.
Anyway, I've finally managed to get my XLT working again! Tried lots of different ram combinations and finally got one that's stable.
My problem is this:
I've worked all the way through the install process using the manual and Gentoo alpha live cd 2005.1, only now I'm unable to boot into the install from MILO using the 2.6 kernel I've compiled.
I'm using

MILO>boot sdb1:vmlinux root=/dev/sdb3 |
and MILO subsequently starts loading the kernel, although all that happens is that it endlessly reboots the MILO environment.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what could be the cause of my problem?

Been doing a bit more troubleshooting.
I realised I forgot to mkdosfs on the sdb1 partition so I went back in and did that and copied over the vmlinux and vmlinux.gz files again (don't know how I could copy them before without this...)
Unfortuantely this gives the same result.
With the vmlinux.gz I get the error | Code: | #UNZIP invalid compressed format

and with vmlinux it loads the file ok but then at the end I see something like:
| Code: | Setting up MILO reboot parameter block ...
Bootstrap complete ... jumping into Linux Kernel. |
Upon which MILO reboots endlessly every 30 seconds unless I press a key.
My MILO version is 2.2.18 built against 2.2.19 (taviso's latest afaik). |
