I have an azerty-keyboard (BE), though it is now default qwerty.
How can I change this?

during the install use:
Code:
loadkeys be-latin1

or
Code:
loadkeys be2-latin1

to have the right keyboard layout after install:
Code:
nano -w /etc/rc.conf

and edit the line wich starts with KEYMAP

cheers

Are you sure loadkeys is available during install?
I remember that it wasn't available when I installed with the Gentoo 1.1a ISO, but I'm not sure about more recent ISO's.

When booting from the ISO, a boot-time one is asked to choose the correct keymap and I guess that's the right way to do it :)

Ah sorry, haven't had a look at the rc1 ISO yet. My fault, I still use the 1.2 ISO for all installs and wget the correct stage1 tarball I need.

So, I'm curious.. Is loadkeys available during install using the 1.4 rc1 install CD?

loadkeys is in 1.4_rc1. Just used it :)

It is NOT in the stage1, but it is on the ISO.
