Well all through out the movie it would sutter and not stay in sync with the sound..
Well now xine-lib is giving me crap about out dated versions even though I un emerged it twice and re-emerged it.
Ive also tried this in gxine and now I dont have sound for my dvd's.. help? |

Do you have 'dvd' in your USE line in /etc/make.conf? Emerge xine-lib xine-ui with this and it should include dvd stuff.
Also, do you have DMA enabled on your dvd drive? (you can use hdparm to check/set this)
You might also want to delete the .xine/.gxine etc folders in your home directory so (g)xine re-configures itself. _________________ Jingle Jangle Jewellery |

root@melvin mike # hdparm -C /dev/cdroms/cdrom0
/dev/cdroms/cdrom0 not supported by hdparm

You need to access the device using the /dev/hdX format, e.g. /dev/hdc for secondary IDE master. _________________ Jingle Jangle Jewellery |
