I've had some problems installing ut2004 on my system. The first cd worked fine but then I couldn't get the second one to read. Does anyone have any cluse why this is?
But I did manage to get it installed on my debian box, and then transfering it over. This appeared to work fine, but I have a few problems that I'm wondering if they are because of not actually installing it.
First is: The game freezes when going into a net game, it gets to the loading screen and then just sits there forever.
Second: The game crashes every-now-and-then. I've heard this is just a bug in the engine, but I'd like that confirmed.
My friend (who's on windows) also has trouble with the game crashing.
Does anyone else have these problems? |

good thing is that there are a set of test binaries that seem to fix the problem for me. _________________ This post has been over explained for newb-informing purposes.

None of the binaries stop my crashing.
But at least the system doesn't crash like windows usually does! |

Hi,
I've had a similar problem with the DVD version, while the game installed on my SuSE box without any problems. But for me a kernel update to the latest standard kernel solved the problem (was 2.6.4), but 2.6.5 woul do the same I guess.. _________________ -- take care -- |
