Hi,
I'm running gentoo on a sparc 20 with the console connected to a linux PC running minicom.
During startup the [OK] message is written at the left hand side preceeded by a 7G. I assume my terminal emulation is iincorrect ? What are the correct termcap settings ? |

Well, there are only two modes of terminal emulation in minicom: ANSI and VT-102 (Ctrl-A Z). I'd try the one you're not using, but would expect VT-102 to be the correct answer. As far as termcap goes, I would suggest inspecting your TERM env-var and be sure is is set to vt100 ( echo $TERM; set TERM=vt100; export TERM). Let me know if that helps... |
