|

Aloha!
Started to play with the nifty integrated MP3 and OGG encoding feature "kio_audiocd" in Konqueror, but discovered that I would have needed lamemp3lib installed before kio_audiocd was compiled in order to be able to encode MP3 from CDs.
kio_audiocd is a part of the kdebase-3.0 package (12.5MB), and it looks as if I have to recompile kdebase to enable MP3 encoding, which probably is a pain since it take very long time to compile KDE.
So my questions are: does anyone know how much of the KDE compiling time that is spent on compiling kdebase? And, is it possible to recompile only a small part of the kdebase package, in this case only the kio_audiocd part? Or is it possible to download only the kio_audiocd source code?
Have a great day!
