Well, I have just done a fresh install of gentoo A64 version and everything went good. I am now on my new system and have started to emerge the things I want. First thing I did was emerge xfree86 and enlightenment.
My problem is for some reason I cannot run the xfree86setup or xfree86config command to set up the XF86Config file.
Is there a diff command for gentoo to set this up? Or am I having a weird problem with my setup?
I have setup my user and I checked in /home/(username)/.xinitrc but I do not have a .xinitrc file in my users home dir.
Is there something I am doing wrong or is the config setup for things just different in gentoo? |

Sorry my bad, all I had to do was reboot my system and then I could run the config file. |

Don't know if you followed the desktop guide, but you need to :
env-update
source /etc/profile
for the changes to take effect after you emerge xfree. Once you've done this xf86config works fine. For future reference _________________ Emrys |
