Hello, is anyone getting problems with gentoo.org ? sometimes i can access it sometimes not, web reports host not found traceroute ping that host not resolved.


I am i the only one?

I've never had a problem.

Could it be your connection? A DNS problem perhaps?

Not a connection problem as i am accessing the forums ok, as you can see.

Where is gentoo.org hosted? i could accessing them and see what happens

I had a few problems with the gentoo forums being down arounnd 30 hrs ago but its fine now. Could be a "internet" problem!

Nope, I had that too, more than once.
Happens sometimes when there's too many people surfing at once to the forums.gentoo.org URL. The forums are getting very popular :)

I use the same ISP as you, and I don't have any problems at all. Actually, I think there was one time a day or two ago when the site wouldn't load for a while, but I think that was my router.

working ok now, and would work if i went through through webcache, was told that request was timing out at croyden.

FYI, the forums (and bugs) server was down for a while. I don't know the details.

The www server is on a different box. I haven't heard anything about it being down (other than this thread of course).

Yep know anout them, this was gentoo.org and sync dns resolution issue, does not appear to have been a gentoo issue but something upstream from my ISP, working ok now.
