I've been trying to get Xine going to get my DVD drive going on my Shuttle here and have been unable to get it working at all. I've read a few threads and seen people mention that they did get it working but I am in the dark as to how they did. I've tried various things but am looking for some help on actually getting it going.
Currently using 2.6.3 RC2 Gentoo Dev Kernel
On a Shuttle SN85G4.
Thanks, |

Run Xine, go to setup->video and set up the path to your dvd device (i.e. /dev/hdd). Then put a dvd in your dvd reader and select "play dvd". It should work as advertised |

Xine doesn't emerge under the 64 bit architecture. I can't even install it. |

According to the information on xine-lib it should emerge without problems. xine-ui, OTOH, is a masked package (undergoing testing) so you'll need to unmask it in order to emerge it. |
