Hi,
I don't suppose someone has come accross this or can help with it.
I'm doing an emerge -u world and at the point it installs PyOpenGL-2.0.0.44 the build falls over;
Code: |
...SNIP...
gcc -DNDEBUG -mcpu=i686 -O3 -pipe -fPIC -DGLX_PLATFORM -I/usr/include -I/usr/local/include -I/usr/X11R6/include -Isrc/gle/src -I/usr/include/python2.2 -c src/interface/GLUT.c -o build/temp.linux-i686-2.2/GLUT.o -mcpu=i686 -O3 -pipe
src/interface/GLUT.c:6: GL/glut.h: No such file or directory
In file included from src/interface/GLUT.c:21:
src/interface/GLUT.0001.inc: In function `_PyInt_AsFont':
src/interface/GLUT.0001.inc:1120: `GLUT_STROKE_ROMAN' undeclared (first use in this function)
src/interface/GLUT.0001.inc:1120: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once
src/interface/GLUT.0001.inc:1120: for each function it appears in.)
src/interface/GLUT.0001.inc:1122: `GLUT_STROKE_MONO_ROMAN' undeclared (first use in this function)
src/interface/GLUT.0001.inc:1124: `GLUT_BITMAP_9_BY_15' undeclared (first use in this function)
src/interface/GLUT.0001.inc:1126: `GLUT_BITMAP_8_BY_13' undeclared (first use in this function)
src/interface/GLUT.0001.inc:1128: `GLUT_BITMAP_TIMES_ROMAN_10' undeclared (first use in this function)
src/interface/GLUT.0001.inc:1130: `GLUT_BITMAP_TIMES_ROMAN_24' undeclared (first use in this function)
error: command 'gcc' failed with exit status 1

Had this same problem, for me I had to emerge glut then all was fine. It seems glut is a dependency but does not get installed by portage. Is this a bug in the ebuild? |

Thanks sertsa.
However, I had a hard disk die on me so I am currently re-installing gentoo (doah).
Will use your advice tommorow when X and KDE finish building!
Don't know much about ebuilds but might as well have a look at the manual while this lot is building!
Cheers,
Neil. |
