Anyone know how to speed up a parallel Bubblejet printer using CUPS? I finally have it at least printing things but it is so slow that now and then the pages get truncated (flow control I suppose) before they are done.
I know that this printer can print faster (like a normal speed) under CUPS as it worked well in <cough>Mandrake<cough> using CUPS. There is probably some obscure setting somewhere that I've overlooked but I think I've exhausted my resources trying to find it.
Any help is appreciated. I'll post more info if needed.
Thanks!

You might try checking on linuxprinting.org to see if there is a better driver for your printer. My printer (not a bubblejet) used to cut stuff off that was near the edge of the paper, but I got a better driver and now it prints to a larger portion of the paper. |
