I'm having fun with Fluxbox...I updated it this morning as there was a bugfix release. However now I find that certain things crash my whole system. One way is to use Xemacs and try to open a file. This locks
up my pc solid...have to do a restart.

The problem's not Xemacs as this works fine in KDE.

Anyone else having this problem?

Very annoying really...back to KDE it seems, just when I was getting into fluxbox.

Jep. I use ssh to log in and kill fluxbox, then log in again in X.
Hopeing -r2 fixes that

I've been using 0.1.11-r1 without problems. Prior to that, I had no problems with any versions either. Have you tried backing down from r2?

Sweet...emerging r3 now...That's what I love about Gentoo...if somethings wrong, it's usually fixed within 24 hours :)

Thanks!

try RTFM'ing a bit about sysRQ in case you can't ssh into the boxen. it's under Documentation/ in the kernel source tree.

It's a life-saver.
