Warcraft 3 and winex-cvs ebuild

I am using the winex-cvs ebuild.

I've installed Warcraft3 without any problems, but when I try to start it with

You need the commercial version to get wc3 working as it has CD protection and the CVS doesn't include anything to support it.

thx, thats bad, I don't want to use windows anymore, and the only point to let windows on my hd is that i can't play wc3 under linux, damn.

WC3 works great in linux with the transgaming subscription... better than windows in most aspects.

15 bucks for 3 months I believe.... Unlimited access to updates within your subscription period.

It is only possible to play with the subscribed version. Only Battle Net makes trouble, but try this:

I couldn't subscribe because a credit card is needed, so have to use windows :-(

(Warcraft doesn't work with the cvs version, because this version doesn't support copy protection. If you have a game with copy protection you need the subscribed version (you need a credit card).)

i have warcraft 3 working successfuly under winex cvs.

The movies dont work, but if you check out the quartz sources from the CVS server it should be fine.

Ok I've put a quick walkthrough of what I did to get War3 working with the winex cvs version.
