Okay, I use a one-liner I got from here - "emerge -Uupv --oneshot `qpkg -I -nc`" - to generate a thorough list of ports I should update.
But now that I installed an ebuild that's not in the portage tree, it complains about it and won't run.
I'm not very good at shell scripting. Can someone else help out and make it runnable again? It can be as simple as filtering out the offending ebuild (games-fps/alephone) or can go through the measures of disposing of all ports which can't be found.
By the way, I stuck the ebuild in /usr/local/portage/games-fps/alephone, but it didn't help. |

Are you sure you have this line in your /etc/make.conf:
Code: | PORTDIR_OVERLAY=/usr/local/portage |
I'm using several ebuilds from my overlay and i'm haven't encountered problems yet. |

Ah! I have it, but I apparently thought it was a default and didn't uncomment it.
This topic is outmoded. |
