Hi board!
I´m new to gentoo and ppc-linux, but I have some skills concerning debian/freebsd. I manged to install yellowdog and HW works ok. For me it has too many disadvantages (as well as other rpm-based distributions):
-rpm and dependencies
-too much stuff I do not need which comes with the installation
-comercialy oriented
However, debian woody doesn´t even boot; thus I want to give gentoo a try.
My question now (finaly):
Could somebody give me a guidline to get gentoo on my apple. I mean which docs should I read first, which iso is recommanded and what are the snares (there must be some...).
Any help is appreceated!
Cheers,
h. |
