Hi,

I'm trying to get xawtv to work. In order to do so I need the v4l_drv.o module. Normally it can be found in /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/drivers/
Unfortunatly not so with the amd64.

The module IS compiled however, I've seen it somwhere in /var/tmp/portage/(xfreeworkdir)

Is there any way to get this module, or maybe even compile it manually?

i'd suggest u to use tvtime, it is much more quality-made than xawtv, and in my opinion much more usable and doesn't bug user with many problems. (deinterlacer with full screen scaling never worked together for me in xawtv despite standard hardware & software config).

Thnx very much, it looks much smoother indeed. And it doesn't need that module.
Only thing is that it seems there's blue missing, anything to do about that?

What do u mean by blue? ...
Tere is a a menu option in tvtime somewhere to shut down blue screen if channel is not found, so u can see channels that are not clearly recieved.
