More printing woes

Hey,
I was getting the Can not convert file 0 to blah blah blah, putting CUPS in make.conf and reemerging ghostscript and CUPS worked. But now, when I go to print, it stops at 2%. The printer shows no sign of actually doing anything, but according to CUPS it's at 2%. Eventually it says stuff like parallel port busy.

In the error log there is nothing out of the ordinary.

Has anyone else had this problem? My printer is a BJC3000, I'm using the gimp print driver on (CANON)parallel.
