Me ne stavo bel bello davanti alla mia Gentoo e mi viene la bella idea di fare un emerge sync. Tutto regolare, il sync finisce, lancio un emerge world e scopro che non ho niente da aggiornare quindi decido di installare Mozilla. Lancio l'emerge con tutte le opzioni e le flag del caso e scopro che il pacchetto in oggetto ha un md5sum diverso da quello registrato in portage. Lo cancello, rilancio l'emerge ed esce la stessa cosa. Allora provo a cambiare mirror, rifare il sync (che ovviamente non va perche' l'ho appena fatto), cancello il pacchetto, rimergio e niente da fare.
Ora l'unica soluzione era di cambiare a manina il digest file relativo anche se so bene che non andrebbe fatto... o usare l'opzione --inject (mi pare, o no?) ma e' una di quelle cose che comunque preferirei evitare.
Qualcuno ha un'idea? |

Stesso identico errore questa mattina. Sai come ho risolto? Ho preso il tar.bz2 da un altro computer con gentoo, e poi l'ho messo su /usr/portage/distfiles dell'altro. L'altro, non contento, ha voluto scaricarlo, perche' diceva download incomplete, ma senza non c'era verso....

| Si', funziona anche cosi'... pero' il fatto e' che il file scaricato da portage funzionava, si decomprimeva e tutto era a posto. Solo che nel suo digest era registrato un altro hash... e rifare il sync era impossibile... qualcuno sa come forzarlo anche se il timestamp e' uguale? O non serve a nulla? |

Se ho capito bene cosa chiedi, questo recente topic potrebbe fare al caso tuo, tra le altre cose indica il comando per creare il digest manualmente

| Ok, grazie mille! In effetti l'emerge sync non aveva prodotto risultati... la prossima volta che mi capita qualcosa del genere provero' a rifare il digest. Per ora mozilla si sta compilando senz'altri problemi. |

| im having this same problem. Im trying to use some online translator to understand what you did to resolve problem, but the translation is rough... same exact file... ive tried deleting it, and emerge again.. and nothing. Anyone able to translate into english the resolution of problem? Much thanks to anyone who can. |

So, our "veteran" MyZelF explains that is a MD5 sum problem, caused by the delay in recalculate it in the portage tree after that a new ebuild pops up...
First of all try with
If it fails when you try to re-emerge the program, try to modify the MD5 in your portage tree: MyZelF explains ho to build the digest:
| Code: | | ebuild /usr/portage/<category>/<program>/<program.version.ebuild> digest |

This is the general syntax, you have to adapt it to your situation. |
