Currently I run a Gentoo server using IP Masquerading for Internet access for computers on my home network. I need to be able to monitor the Internet access from each computer on the network and possibly even set access limits.
I'm assuming I need to run a proxy server to do this, but if there are other ways I'd be interested. Also what would I use to run a proxy on Gentoo?
The computers connecting would be running Linux and Windows, and I was thinking of monitoring them via IP address or user/pass auth.
I'd like to know what people use and what works for them on Gentoo, thanks.
