Hi,
have tested the tftpboot image on my Sun Serverblade1 (UltraSPARC-IIe 650MHz) , boots fine but i have no network card.
It is one of the new "ce" gigabit ehternet cards. After i found the tftp devel script i build my own kernel and activated all 1000 Network cards, but again i have no eth0.
Any ideas what kind of chip this is?
here is the bootscreen

Hi,
the CE aka GigaSwift ethernet is just a Broadcom 5401 chip. I tried very briefly to hack the GEM driver under 2.4 to support this card without any luck. 2.6 has better support for this chipset I believe, if I have time this week I'll take a look at it and see if I can create some sort of a patch. |
