Hello,

The trackpad of my laptop is quite sensible and I use the mouse most of the time. However I have not been able to figlure out yet how to get the trackpad disabled when the mouse is there.
Any idea ?

Remark: I have a powerbook, but as far as I could see the pbbuttonsd daemon does not give me
the possibility to do this.

Regards,

Until a software solution is available, I've just disconnected the trackpad. If you pop the keyboard, it's the little connector directly next to the keyboard connector. My trackpad is bad enough that I think the minor hassle of carrying a mouse around it worth it. And if I'm ever in a situation where I don't have a mouse and need my trackpad, it's easy enough to pop the keyboard and reconnect it.

Do you mean you have to take apart the keyboard to do it ?
Which laptop do you have ?

Actually, I have an Apple Powerbook Aluminium and do not want to do that...

I have a Pismo. I don't know about other laptops, but at least in the Pismo/Lombard and the G3 iBooks (both bodies, I think) it's a really simple matter of undoing two latches to get the keyboard off. It's how you get to the guts of the machine.
