Hi I'm using a 56k modem. Winmodem actually, I'm trying to install a driver for it. It dosen't seem to work when compiling it through gentoo linux. Even if I downloaded the original kernel.org kernel. When i installed Redhat 7.3 it worked like a charm. So i'm thinking if gentoo has installed some kind of "make" default options that i could change so the compilation of the driver might work. |

I'm not sure whether this is within the scope of Installing Gentoo or not. Just a quick note: you can "emerge redhat-sources" to use the RedHat kernel sources, if you find that that works better for you. Without more details of what you tried to compile and how exactly it didn't work, that's about all I can come up with. _________________ For every higher wall, there is a taller ladder |
