Well, I'm kinda a noob when it comes to mail servers............ I currently have a postfix/courier/cyrus/gotmail combo running my server/router. Everything works great, but I dual boot between windows and gentoo on my computer, and so when I get mail in one OS, I don't get it in the other, so things get a little mixed up. Is there a way that I can keep all mail on the server and manipulate it from my computer so that it always looks the same from both OSs? |

Use IMAP instead of POP3. IMAP will set up folders on the server and always store messages on the server, so when you check your mail, you actually just sync with the server. _________________ Top notch image hosting. Great for screen shots! http://www.imagelink.org |

And then you can use Mozilla Thunderbird on either OS. And even better then being cross platform is the fact that it's imap implementation is the best out there.
