Hello,
I've a P3 550Mhz Laptop with Gentoo on it. And a couple of hours ago I did a emerge --update world, which still hasn't been finished. Looping at the process state I see that the scrollkeeper-update is taking up all CPU time and is now running for more than 6 hours. So I wonder whether this is normal.
greetings,

Definitely not. However, it happened to me too; after about 5 minutes, I did:
Code: |
killall -HUP scrollkeeper-update
|
and the emerge finished. I don't use gnome much; however, I haven't seen anything broken yet in the few instances that I use it. |

I had the same problem.
I remerged scrollkeeper and then the problem was gone. |

Same problem, 109 mins and counting.
Will emerge scrollkeeper again to fix the security hole.
