From Mozilla, go to Help, About Plug-ins. Do you have any information listed about Shockwave?

Moved from Networking & Security to Desktop Environments.

Here's the download site for the macromedia flash plugin for mozilla. It's really simple to install. All you really have to do is make sure that you put the ShockwaveFlash.class and the libflashplayer.so files in the /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins directory. I'm not sure if this is what you are looking for but if the ebuild doesn't work you can try that.
