Choose langage in software

I have installed a gentoo las t week. I hava begin to install some software like mozilla or openoffice.

By using the emerge command I have some english version of these software.

I would like to know if is it possible to have a french version with emerge ?

Look into locale settings. If you set your locale for French, I expect all those applications will display in French. Maybe somebody who uses the French locale could comment further.

I am waiting for an answer since 3 days (on several forums)

I know how install a french version of openoffice for example but not with emerge.

What is your locale set to? I don't use openoffice, but you mentioned mozilla. If I set LC_ALL=ja_JP.ujis, mozilla comes up in Japanese.
