Emerge hangs when I try to unmerge sun-jdk and it hangs when I try to emerge a new one. When I emerge -d, here is the output for both:
Code: | darkwall distfiles # emerge -d unmerge sun-jdk
dev-java/sun-jdk
selected: 1.4.2.02
protected: none
omitted: none
>>> 'Selected' packages are slated for removal.
>>> 'Protected' and 'omitted' packages will not be removed.
>>> Waiting 5 seconds before starting...
>>> (Control-C to abort)...
>>> Unmerging in: 5 4 3 2 1
>>> Unmerging dev-java/sun-jdk-1.4.2.02...
No package files given... Grabbing a set.

Here's the emerge output.

It appears to be a problem with set +x, whatever that is. I'm really trying to dig my hands into portage to get the hang of it, and they're really dirty right now, heh. If anyone has a clue, that'd be great if you could help me out. Thanks! _________________ -Lyo |

Well apparently, it's working now. I'm not sure what broke it to begin with, but after my raid array locked up because of the j2sdk bin I downloaded, and a reboot that was forced upon me thanks to no other way to deal with a mount that needs to be forcefully mounted, j2sdk-1.4.2.03 is emerging! _________________ -Lyo |
