No matter what manpage I search for I get the same response, this is on a basic stage3 x86 install.
After setting up Gentoo and rebooting it I forgot the syntax to a grep string, and when I tried looking at the manpage....
--
bgriffith@deadbeef bgriffith $ man grep
No recipients were specified.
bgriffith@deadbeef bgriffith $
--
I get the same thing no matter what manpage I search for or which man directory.
Has this happened to anyone else? |

Check your PAGER and MANPAGER settings by doing:
Code: |
echo $PAGER
echo $MANPAGER
|
One of them may be set incorrectly to "mail". |
