I think the main translation effort should be at gentoofr.org .
The forum(s) should be here, with the others english (german, whatever) forums. gentoofr.org will still hold docs, chat (aka tribune), news, etc. |

Indeed the next stable release will bring a lot of people out there ... I mean people will really be tempted to try out a GCC 3.2 based distro especially tuned for their system. So the French forum is a serious need.
Just think about French, Canadian, Belgian people that must be here. |

I don't know if you are trying to find equivalent French slang or not, but the meaning of this American slang is basically: Quote: | There is no guarantee that Gentoo is better than anything else: different people may have different experiences |

Being rather fluent in both french and english, it will be my pleasure to participate in the french and english forums. I know quite a few french people here in the province of Quebec which are interested in linux
And I will be plus que content d'aider with the traduction of le document FAQ. Ou at least le vérifier pour ensure it's consistence _________________ M$ Windows: When in doubt, REBOOT

Quote: | the PROTOCOLS assignment |
---------------
Could somebody translate that for me :

Folks --
Bouiaw sent me the translated FAQ. He indicated there still may be some errors in it, it's certainly complete enough to put up as an initial draft. As I mentioned to Bouiaw, someone will need to keep the FAQ up to date as things change over time.
I'll get the forum created either tonight or this weekend, so hopefully things should be ready to go no later than Monday morning.
