Building X and Gnome2 on Ultra 10 Creator 3D

Hi,

My box is just building X and Gnome now and I suspect will finish around midnight tonight, so I'm just getting mentally prepared for X configuration later this week.

I'm going to be using a CTX 19" VL950ST VGA display connected to the onboard 3D Rage output (not the card in the UPA slot -- got no cables for that). Is the X config likely to be fairly straight forward or will it be nothing short of hell on earth. Any gotchas I should be aware of? Any useful resources for X on my hardware I should make myself aware of?

As I said, just preparing myself.

I haven't got a working X config for you. But when I started using X on my U60 I got some problems, mainly because the whole psarc thing was new to me. I got the answers by searching in this forum for X configurations.
