Gentoo, KDE und verschiedene Tastaturlayouts

Hallo,

Ich will in KDE zwischen zwei Tastaturbelegungen (de, us) umschalten koennen. Ich hab schon kde-i18n mit linguas=de emerged und us und de als auswahlmoeglichkeiten, aber beim umschalten tut sich nichts, es bleibt immer die in /etc/rc.conf eingestellte tastaturbelegung aktiv.

Wie krieg ich das hin (bei meinem alten lfs-system hats funktioniert)

Also bei mir klappts. Wie versuchst du denn umzuschalten?

ich hab die tastaturlayouts aktiviert, habe als standard de und als zusaetzliche belegung us angekreuzt. Ich kann auch beim systraysymbol umschalten, aber die belegung bleibt trotzdem gleich...

Seltsam. Genau so klappt es bei mir ohne Probleme.

Wenn ich das richtig verstehe, dann benutzt kde ja setxkbmap um das Layout zu ändern. Hast du mal probiert das in einem Terminal zu benutzen um zu sehen, ob es irgendwelche Fehlermeldungen gibt, bzw. ob es so klappt?

Ein KDE 3.1.x problem ists eher nicht, frueher hats ja auch funktioniert.

Ich hab mal setxkbmap im terminal eingegeben und egal welcher parameter dahinter steht, es kommt immer "Error loading new keyboard description".
Den Fehler hatte ich allerdings vorher nie.

Hm, seltsam.

Ich hab mal ein bisschen im Forum gesucht und andere hatten auch schon das Problem. Allerdings fand ich die Lösungsansätze jetzt nicht gerade sehr überzeugend, aber vielleicht hilft es ja.

Sonst würde mir noch einfall XFree mal neu und vielleicht in einer anderen Version zu mergen. Ich habe allerdings keine Ahnug, ob es hilft.

Ich hab das problem gerade gefunden:

Ich hatte /var auf eine andere partition gepackt und vergessen die rechte wieder auf 1777 zu stellen, und setxkbmap will da scheinbar raufschreiben

Auf jeden fall vielen dank jetzt kann ich wieder umstellen
