ok I've read every post I can find
I've emerged gtk-theme-switch 1 and 2
I've emerged gtk-engines for both versions
I still can't get the damn widgets to update. Only window borders and colours are updating.
I'm trying to use PrettyOkayish-Prion which has a gtk and gtk2 theme
I've tried selecting in "themes" in Desktop Preferences, I've tried Metathemes, and both switch apps
Help!

This is happening because you do not have the theme engines required by the themes. Launch your theme switching app from the console and you will see where it is getting errors.
Most commonly used theme engines are now in portage under x11-themes - emerge what you need and relaunch your theme switcher, the problems should go away. |
