I'm trying to configure the kernel manually for the first time and I don't know which modules to include for my NIC card.. It uses the davicom chipset..
I'm trying to get it to work on kernel 2.4.22-gentoo-r5
Also take in consideration that I'm new to this

Right, if you look under "Network device support", then "Ethernet (10 or 100Mbit)", then "EISA, VLB, PCI, and on board controllers" (probably just a submenu, won't take you to a new one). Then about 5-10 lines down should be "Davicom DM910x/DM980x support".

I think that's the one you want for your card.

[Edit: close bracket]
