what the heck is going on here? Another thread suggested that the missing bz2 file was temporarily removed. I did this when first downloading my kde components.

Yeah it puts a real damper on things when you wait forever for that thing to compile and then it just stops.

Well, I'm not giving up yet, but it seems that the disadvantage with a source-based install program is just the sheer time for everything to get done. And if there's a problem, well, hey. Time to go play football!

since i have same problem, after "emerge --update world" then "emerge rsync".

I try "emerge kde" again, but now another problem show :

In file included from libkdecore_la.all_cpp.cpp:23:
kcharsets.cpp:420:waning: #warningFIXME?


how can I do? I have type "Y" then enter, it nothing to do!!

please help me!

ismark, you'll just have to wait for the compilation to finish. I'm not sure what's up with the warning either and yes it does take too long of a time to finish, but it will finish eventually. Have a nice nap! :)
