I've managed to find two modelines that are nice, they differ only in their hsync/vsync values. One has them both -hsync -vsync, the other has +hsync +vsync. What are the differences between these two, and does one offer an advantage over the other? Thanks |

I don''t think arguments to a program file can contain something like '+' etc. A '-' states that its followers constitute a parameter. Am I right, folks? _________________ Don't bother! |

The modeline parameters are lines inside /etc/X11/XF86Config.
They specify the polarity of the hsync, vsync.
So yes I just answered my own question |
