Any Radeon 8500 user out there???

I doubt it...but if so, how did you get the video to play in X? Everything works fine for me except I can't play video using any mpeg/avi player....xmms, mplayer, the one that came with kde3 etc......nothing shows up after i hit the play button.. the screen is all blank....errr this is killing me....maybe i should consider switching back to my geforce2 gts just for gentoo...but then i can't play http://gamespot.com/gamespot/filters/products/0,11114,913818,00.html when it comes out in like a few days..

Try xine it runs anything no matter what
just compile it and run it

and of course chekc your XF86Config
i gotten so pissed at config progs. i just write my own config filez now
