webmin perl error/MySql module

trying to acces any persmissions I now get a perl error:
Error - Perl execution failed

Can't use an undefined value as a HASH reference at /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.0/i586-linux/DBD/mysql.pm line 113.

it was working. I installed a couple of other perl modules and webmin broke.
Ive uninstalled the new modules and re-emerged webmin but still have the problem.
