I tried to listen to the song but a few things stopped me:
1) The voice was really low and I would have had to blast my speakers to hear it.
2) I have Klipsch speakers and if I had them up they wouldn't distort but instead would blow my room apart if someone logged in/out on Gaim[I use Halo sounds for login/logout].
So I just read the lyrics instead. That last song posted by whoever it was kind of blew chunks. I didn't see how the lyrics could be pulled together via any music. |

Interesting....
I would like to pose a serious question. The song establishes that Gentoo rocks since everything is fully optimized since it's all compiled from source.
While I can see how that is definitely a benefit of Gentoo--as opposed to other binary based distributions such as my beloved Debian or Slackware--may I ask how you were able to compile the FhG encoder from source to compress your track to the MP3 format?
I would have thought that LAME or OGG Vorbis would have been a better choice, since the source code is available for those encoders.
Just curious... |

At first, I thought this was going to be a joke/funny song. You know, the listen-once-laugh-and-delete kind. Definately not the case. So I'll be keeping this, at least until we get an extended version |

Hi,
Just had an idea to check if there had been any changes to the forum and i'm stunned at the respons . If you people are serious in wanting more, just say the word.
And i agree that the sounds is abit low on the recording, but i'll see if i can normalize it abit.
Having it running while installing gentoo would of course be the ultimate dream for a nerdo-musico guy like myself. But it would take alot of people to pursuade the developers to include it.
I'll keep this place updated abit more often. _________________ OMG i made a song when i was drunk, and posted it on gentoo forum. Now 2500 people have listened to it!
