Hello,

I'm (try) installing Gentoo with stage2

I'm using a PIII Coppermine 900 Mhz

when I do

Quote:

# mount -t proc /proc /mnt/gentoo/proc
# cp /etc/resolv.conf /mnt/gentoo/etc/resolv.conf
# chroot /mnt/gentoo /bin/bash
# env-update

then I get

Quote:

!!! Invalid token (not "=" ) is
!!! ParseError: Invalid token (not '='): /etc/make.conf: line 6
!!! Incorrect multiline literials can cause this. Do not use them.

Please help me with this one
Kurt

did you follow all the steps correctly? (nothe the -L switch in the guide when copying the resolv.conf, for example)

please paste your /etc/make.conf (or /mnt/gentoo/etc/make.conf before chroot) as it says there's a systax error, but it's very strange because you haven't edited it yet at this point of the installation

This is a parse error. Unless there is nothing else but this, I'll move this threads to Duplicates.

okay ...

after checking the " ENGLISH " guide I see the " -L " option.
this option is not in the " DUTCH " manual

Going to try this.

Will get to you back when I have tried it

This is quite clearly a parse error on line 6, the error message even states that.

Moved to Duplicate Threads.

Please, open a bug report at https://bugs.gentoo.org --> Documentation and explain the problem.
