I am trying to find the kernel config to get 2.6 working on my XServe. Any 2.4 config info may also be helpfull, as I wasn't able to get a working 2.4 config, and used the binary kernel provided on a XServe boot cd i found in the wild. So here is my dmesg. Thanks.

, means I need to select that Promise 20271 chipset driver in my 2.6 config. |

| Promise drivers didn't fix the problem. Does no one else run on an Xserve? |

Long delay in finding this. You might still be looking though.
Anyway, http://kc8apf.net/files/xserve-config-2.4.24 is a working config for 2.4.24 on an Xserve G4. I've been running it for over a year. I'm working on a 2.6.7-r14 config, but I'm having problems with USB. |
