I am trying to find the kernel config to get 2.6 working on my XServe. Any 2.4 config info may also be helpfull, as I wasn't able to get a working 2.4 config, and used the binary kernel provided on a XServe boot cd i found in the wild. So here is my dmesg. Thanks.

I'm being told that this line:
PDC20271: IDE controller at PCI slot 10:15.0
, means I need to select that Promise 20271 chipset driver in my 2.6 config.

Promise drivers didn't fix the problem. Does no one else run on an Xserve?

Long delay in finding this. You might still be looking though.

Anyway, http://kc8apf.net/files/xserve-config-2.4.24 is a working config for 2.4.24 on an Xserve G4. I've been running it for over a year. I'm working on a 2.6.7-r14 config, but I'm having problems with USB.
