This is not a new thing - i haven't been able to get the durned thing to build ever since it was releases. i get a compile error about a minute or so into the compile
Here's the basic system specs:

I got this under gcc 2.95.3... until I removed it because I realized I do everything with the command line anyway.

| But i want the option of the GUI - i generally prefer them for day-to-day operations. |
