the patch in the ebuild fails and openmotif emerge dies....anyone know whats up with this....i am installing clean from 1.2a gcc-2.95.3 and only have -fomit-frame-pointer as clfag options.
Code: | >>> Unpacking openMotif-2.2.2.tar.gz
/usr/sbin/ebuild.sh: /usr/portage/x11-libs/openmotif/files/animate-demo.diff: No such file or directory
!!! ERROR: The ebuild did not complete successfully.
!!! Function src_unpack, Line -175, Exitcode 1
!!! patch failed
!!! emerge aborting on /usr/portage/x11-libs/openmotif/openmotif-2.2.2.ebuild . |

how can you get it to not be part of a emerge -eu world?....its fails and then i have to amually enter in each package after it....but the order when i run emerge -eu world -p |less doesnt look right...i see some after motif that have already compiled...this sucks...someone mask this |

Why not remove it from your /var/cache/edb/world file? You can always put it back when it becomes OK.
Or add "=x11-libs/openmotif-2.2.2" to your package.mask file after an rsync? |

thanks naan....sorry for the attitude i am in grieving since i killed my gentoo....but thanks for the tip....hey if i moved the earlier version of motif that builds to say 'portage.local' would emerge then use it instead?....would that be a way to have builds you know work available? |
