I'm using the gentoo-kernel-bin and am having an interesting time.

Had a working Gentoo before it killed two SSD drives on me, the 1st was the boot disk and when it died - showing 128mb size "cache" I swapped in a spare and the install ate it for breakfast. Didn't complete before it died.

Now I'm on all Spinners and I get no Grub Menu/Splash yet the system boots and I get to a console to log-in

Using a Radeon 5600xt and wonder if the kernel isn't building the right framebuffer.
I had followed the handbook and used the 00video-cards file with
Code:
amdgpu radeonsi
entires

Wasn't Grubs Fault :oops: Had Misconfigured Ram and didn't know it until I RTM :cry: and yes, this is a case of "RTM". Normally, on Epyc/Threadripper systems, you place ram Inner/Inner then Outer/Outer but not with this board. They flipped the other set of ram slots 180 degrees, so it's Inner/Outer Outer/Inner and if I were using eight sticks the same size, it wouldn't have been any problem

Do you see the BIOS/UEFI boot display? If not then it is likely booting with the wrong GPU.
