Haveno + how to upgrade to java 21?

Problems with emerge or ebuilds? Have a basic programming question about C, PHP, Perl, BASH or something else?

Haveno + how to upgrade to java 21?

Hello everyone,

recently I decided that I want to try to get into monero.
With localmonero closing I am left with haveno as the best option from what I gather.

I am working on an ebuild and I'd like to ask if anyone would be interested in working on it with me?

Also I need to upgrade to java 21, which is ~arch as of right now and I don't know how to do this as accepting ~arch for jdk and jre + openjdk.

Code: Select all

[nomerge       ] app-text/pdftk-3.3.3-r2::gentoo  USE="-doc -source -test"
[nomerge       ]  dev-java/bcprov-1.74:1.74::gentoo  USE="-doc -source -test"
[nomerge       ]   virtual/jdk-21:21::gentoo [17:17::gentoo] USE="-headless-awt"
[ebuild NS ~] dev-java/openjdk-21.0.3_p9:21::gentoo [17.0.11_p9:17::gentoo] USE="alsa doc jbootstrap lto (system-bootstrap) (-big-endian) -cups -debug -examples -headless-awt (-javafx) (-selinux) -source -systemtap" 109771 KiB
[ebuild  NS   ~]   virtual/jre-21:21::gentoo [17:17::gentoo] 0 KiB
[ebuild  rR    ] dev-util/astyle-3.1-r2:0/3.1::gentoo  USE="java -examples -static-libs" 0 KiB
[ebuild  NS   ~]  virtual/jdk-21:21::gentoo [17:17::gentoo] USE="-headless-awt" 0 KiB

Total: 4 packages (3 in new slots, 1 reinstall), Size of downloads: 109771 KiB

I've never done an ebuild before but if its as simple as bisq then it should be pretty easy. Let me know what you need.
Also I need to upgrade to java 21, which is ~arch as of right now and I don't know how to do this as accepting ~arch for jdk and jre + openjdk.
I am not sure I understand you. Is this unrelated to haveno? Have you put modified your package.accept_keywords with e.g.

Code: Select all

dev-java/openjdk ~amd64
