|
|
Hi all!
Currently trying to upgrade my kernel from 6.6.21 to 6.8.8 (gentoo-sources, manual install) but the "make install" doesn't seem to want to copy my new kernel to /boot.
Here's a closer look at it:
Code: | # make install
[...]
INSTALL /boot
Cannot find LILO. |
and /boot remains free of any 6.8.8 file:
Code: | # ls /boot
System.map
System.map-6.6.21-gentoo-dist
System.map-6.6.21-gentoo-x86_64
System.map-6.6.21-gentoo-x86_64.old
System.old
config-6.6.21-gentoo-dist
config-6.6.21-gentoo-x86_64
config-6.6.21-gentoo-x86_64.old
efi
grub
initramfs-6.6.21-gentoo-dist.img
initramfs-6.6.21-gentoo-x86_64.img
initramfs-6.6.21-gentoo-x86_64.img.old
vmlinuz
vmlinuz-6.6.21-gentoo-dist
vmlinuz-6.6.21-gentoo-x86_64
vmlinuz-6.6.21-gentoo-x86_64.old
vmlinuz.old |
Symlink is ok afaik:
Code: | # eselect kernel list
Available kernel symlink targets:
[1] linux-6.8.8-gentoo * |
Really can't see what I am missing...
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I'd love to post my .config but wgetpaste left the building for now.

Oops and thanks!
I'll be carefully reading all the news stacked on my system as a penance. |
